Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Female | spayed | 6 years and 1 month old
My 6 year old cat went missing for a bit, we live way out in the country so I wasn't too worried. But now she is back and has lost over half of her hair. No bumps lumps and only a few little scabs. I just started putting cat hydrocortisone lotion on it and it seems to make her feel better. She still eats and drinks. Any other at home solutions? Thanks

This could be a sign of an underlying skin disease or possibly even an endocrine disease. You can try bathing Chester with a medicated antimicrobial shampoo for cats but if this does not work, a trip to the veterinarian may be warranted. Your veterinarian will be able to run blood work and test Chester's skin to determine what is causing the hair loss. Good luck! I hope that Chester is feeling better soon.
