Oh no, poor Bruno! Limping is not something that is life threatening, and it can heal over times, but the length of time for it to heal depends on the cause of the limping. A strained ligament or an injury that requires surgery like a torn cranial cruciate ligament will take at least 6-8 weeks to heal fully. You can certainly put Bruno on glucosamine and chondroitin tablets again, as those will be beneficial to his joint health. I recommend resting him for the next 48 hours. No running, jumping, or playing. Keep him confined to a small room or crate if needed. Take him out to toilet on a lead only, and bring him right back in when he's done. If he still appears painful after this time, then I would take him into the vet for an exam. The vet can diagnose where the pain is coming from, and can dictate a treatment plan for it. He may also benefit from some pain medications. Please do not give him any human pain medications, as many are toxic to dogs and can be fatal if given.
