Updated On September 23rd, 2025

I have a follow up question after asking about my dog's swollen belly after a week of breeding. Luna her belly is less swollen and starts to feel normal again. What could have happened and what can i do to prevent it? I will still take her to the vet to be sure

I'm glad Luna's belly is less swollen! It could be that she ate a lot, and that gave her the appearance of a swollen belly. Without seeing her in person, I certainly can't say for certain what caused her belly to be swollen and then return to normal, and I can't say how to prevent it without knowing the cause unfortunately. I think having her seen by a vet to be safe is the best idea.
