My cat gets aggressive and scared at the vet. How can I calm her down?

Pet's info: Cat | American Shorthair | Female | spayed | 5 years and 6 months old | 10 lbs

How can i get my cat used to the vet? She was fine the first time there but now she hisses and swats at the vet and tries to attack them. She gets very scared and defensive i cant even calm her down until we are out of the building. Please help!

Going to the vet can be very stressful for a cat! You can try using a Sentry calming collar on Marley. This collar releases pheromones when in contact with her skin that helps with anxiety. You can discuss with your vet if they can prescribe any medications to give her before taking her into the vet so that she is calmer during the visit. You can also see about using a mobile vet service. They will come to your home and do her health visit, vaccines, etc there, which may be must less stressful for both her and you :-)
