Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed | Female | unspayed | 9 years and 1 month old | 9 lbs
My female dog just deliver 2 puppies two days ago. She's been eating very well and drinking water constantly. She's urinated a lot. But has not pooped. She has been letting out very stinky gases. Should I be worried?

Poor Lilly. Her increased urination and drinking constantly could indicate a mild infection or a urinary track infection. I would recommend taking her into your veterinarian for a urinalysis and proper exam to make sure everything is OK. She may need a short course of antibiotics to get her back to normal. Her not pooping can be normal, as long as she isn't straining to defecate.

I'd be concerned as it's not normal that she isn't pooping. You can try giving her a tablespoon of canned pumpkin puree mixed in with her food to see if that helps. If she still isn't pooping tomorrow, I would have Lilly and her puppies seen by the vet.
