Parvovirus cannot be treated at home because the treatment for this is mostly supportive care including: antibiotics, anti-vomit medication (i.e. Metoclopramide), +/- vitamin B supplement, fluid therapy (IV or subcutaneous). The most important of these being the antibiotics and fluids to keep your pet hydrated. If finances are a concern, then you can discuss with your vet about treating your pet as an outpatient, meaning the vet will provide the injections during a short visit to the hospital daily for about 4-7 days and you will take puppy home every night instead of hospitalizing your pet. Treating your pet outpatient does lower the chances of survival somewhat but it is more affordable for most pet owners. Here are some financial resources also if needed. Best of luck with your puppy's care. Carecredit.com Redrover.org

The cornerstone of treating parvovirus is to maintain fluid intake to prevent dehydration and to control secondary infection in the damaged bowel. They can be treated as an outpatient with injectable anti-nausea medication to control vomiting and injectable antibiotics with rehydration fluids and liquid diets
