So even changing flavors (not brands) if done gradually can cause GI upset?

If you do it gradually, then that will avoid GI upset. But changing it too much, like every month, can lead promote picky eating behaviors. And it can cost you a bundle if your dog doesn't like a certain flavor of food. If you want to change flavors of food, it's best to do it every six months to a year. I personally recommend staying with one flavor. Dogs really don't need the flavor of their foods changed. I never change the flavor of my dogs' food. They get the same flavor all the time, and they still chow it all down every morning and night :-)
