Poor Baxter! There are a number of things that could cause bloodshot and cloudy eyes, so it's hard to say what might be wrong without being able to examine him. Some possible causes of these symptoms could include a severe eye infection, glaucoma, keratoconjunctivitis sicca ("dry eye"), or a systemic illness causing inflammation inside the eyes such as Lyme disease or lymphoma. Many of these problems are quite serious and can cause permanent damage or vision loss, so I would recommend taking Baxter to the vet today for an exam. He/she can do some testing if needed to help diagnose the problem and get him started on appropriate medication to treat it.
