My kitten vomited and has gushing liquid poop. Should I worry?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Male | neutered | 5 lbs

My (aprox.) 5 month old cat vomited earlier today. Just recently, as he was using the litter box, his poop was all liquid and made a gushing sound. He's been eating well and playing, but should I be concerned

If he vomits again and/or the diarrhea continues, I recommend getting him seen by your vet for an exam and lab work. It may just be a passing episode of gi upset, but if he stops eating or becomes lethargic, get him seen right away as this may indicate some underlying problem.
