My 3-month puppy has diarrhea, vomiting, low energy. What to do?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Canadian Eskimo Dog | Female | unspayed | 15 lbs

3 month old puppy has had diarrhea (pudding texture) and low energy for 48 hours - no food changes though she tends to eat grass/dirt outside. She also puked 48 hrs ago. She still wags her tail but has not been herself. Any recommendations?

Poor Winnie! She could have a GI illness, intestinal parasites, eating something rotten, a foreign body, or even parvovirus if she isn't fully vaccinated. When a puppy has had diarrhea for over 24 hours and has vomited as well, the time has passed to try a home remedy and Winnie needs to see a vet now. The vet can diagnose what is causing her diarrhea and vomiting, and can treat her for it.
