My puppy has red blood in her poop. Is it worms, parasites, or diet?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Hi, I have a 2 month old female pug puppy. She has been with us since 22 December 2016. I noticed on the second day I brought her home that there'a a red pink lump, more like blood, in her stool. The red lump come at the end when she's pooping. Until today I still notice it. Usualy the red lump come once a day but not every time she take a poop and occur mostly on the morning. I don't know wether she has a worm/paracite or just need a change in her diet. I feed her ProPlan lamb n rice for puppy

She could have a parasite and need to be dewormed. You could take her to a vet and have a stool sample tested to determine if she has a parasite. Your vet can prescribe a dewormer, if needed. ProPlan lamb and rice puppy food is a good quality puppy food.
