My cat's unbalanced, pulling fur, and missing whiskers. Should I see a vet?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Cat | American Shorthair | Male | neutered | 1 year and 3 months old | 8 lbs

My cat seems different and is missing some whiskers. He cannot land on his feet and started plucking his fur out. What should I do?

It sounds like he should be examined by a vet to determine the cause. Your vet can run labwork, if needed, to help diagnose and then determine the best way to treat. He could have an infection, parasite, metabolic/endocrine disease, etc.
