Why does my dog have a pink hairy bump on the edge of its mouth?

My dog has a strange pink bump/mole right on the edge of the mouth. There are some small hairs growing out of it. I don't know where it came from or what it is. What is it? Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed | Female | spayed

It is difficult to say without seeing it. Best guess is a wart or cutaneous papilloma which is spread through direct contact with other dogs carrying the virus. If that is the case and it doesnt spread she will be fine. Make an appointment and have your vet take a look if it progresses.
