Updated On September 23rd, 2025

My dogs been diagnosed with spondylosis of her spine. Its causing her. Legs to give way at the rear and shes struggling to get back up, once shes up she is ok again. The vets given her metacam. and tramadol but we are. Seeing.no changes, she looks so fed up the sparkle in her eyes has gone and all she wants to do is lay down and sleep shes not eating as well as she normally does. Are there other options or is it time we faced reality that shes not going to get better

You might want to get a second opinion from an orthopedic veterinary surgeon, there might be a surgical option for her to get better, if there isn't any then you should consider putting her down to avoid her suffering.
