Since the last Few weeks the male cat Keeps meowing every now and then and has developed this unusual habit of urinating everywhere around the house and very rarely in the litter box. No, this is not normal. Not using the litter box can be a sign of a medical illness, such as a UTI or bladder stone. I would recommend taking Browny into your vet today for an exam. Your vet can do routine blood tests and a urinalysis to see if he does have a UTI or bladder stones. If he has a UTI, she will need antibiotics to treat it. Bladder stones may need to be removed surgically, or can be managed with diet. Please take him in today.

He could have a urinary tract infection, bladder stones, crystals or inflammation of his bladder. You should have him seen by a veterinarian who could test the urine for an infection, crystals, or stones which are the common causes for inappropriate urination. He may be meowing more out of discomfort so try to have him seen soon. Good luck !
