my male parakeet is 3 y.o. and is sleeping a lot lately. when he eats he acts like hes ravenous but then seems to choke. he has been hiding under his newspaper during the day. the parakeet in the neighboring cage shows no abnormal behavior. Pet's info: Bird | Unknown - Bird | Male | unneutered | 2 years and 7 months old | 0 lbs

Cali is showing general symptoms of disease, possibly due to a gastrointestinal problem although from these symptoms I couldn't tell what it could be. You need to take him to an avian vet quite urgentl as parakeets usually deteriorate very rapidly once they start showing symptoms of disease.
