Pet's info: Dog | Yorkshire Terrier | Female | unspayed | 4 lbs
Hi. My mom's dog probably had a stroke. She took her to a vet in Egypt who gave her a small dosage of paracetamol for some reason I told her this is toxic and we cleared it with water and the dog is getting better, eating and drinking again. But now the dog has grayish blue cloudy eyes. Is this cataracts ? It's hard to find a good vet in Egypt I need help please at least to guide the vet. And is this treatable ?

Cataracts show as cloudiness in the lens of the eye. So you will be able to see the colored iris very well. In the first picture, it appears that the entire surface of the eye is cloudy, which could be caused by glaucoma, uveitis (which can be a local eye issue or an indicator of something more serious like an infection or hepatitis), corneal ulcer or corneal abrasion, an irritant in the eye, among a few others. I would recommend that Jessy get checked out by a vet, since this may not be related to her recent stroke. The vet may recommend a stain to check for ulcers, may be able to the eye pressures for glaucoma, or may recommend bloodwork to look for an internal cause. They may prescribe pain medications since this may be a painful process. If Jessy seems to squint her eye often, keep her in a dim area and protect her from sunlight since this will be very irritation.
