My dog is peeing a lot, licking, crying, and has white stuff. What's wrong?

My dog has been urinating more than usual, licking his genital area way too much, crying constantly, breaking his potty training and has white stuff in his urine. Should I be worried or call a vet?

This could be normally puppy behavior since Finely is so young but I would also certainly be concerned about a urinary tract infection. I would recommend taking him to your vet to be examined and have a urine sample checked for signs of a UTI. If you are able to, bring in a sample of fresh urine. If you can’t catch his urine on your own just don’t let him urinate before his appointment so they can get a sample for you. Typically a UTI can be treated with a 2-4 week course of antibiotics. I hope this helps. Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach. Let us know if you have any further questions!
