Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Large (61lb +) | Male | 2 years and 5 months old | 75 lbs

Hi, my dogs paws pads are black but 3 of his paws are starting to get a light pink. One pad has the white spot near the nail. Any idea or information on what it could be?

Often the pads on puppies with turn from pink to black. This is very normal. However, if you have any concerns that something doesn’t seem right then I would encourage you to have him evaluated by your veterinarian soon. Best of luck and thank you for using Pet Coach.
