My dog has bumps on his testicles. Should I take him to the vet?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | American Pit Bull Terrier | Male | unneutered | 8 years old | 74 lbs

I just found these on my dogs testicles. He is an 8 year old pit pull. Should I keep an eye on them or should I bring him in to have them checked.

Hi Dalcy, thanks for posting this question. Those look like they could be pustules which are signs of a skin infection. I would encourage you to have him evaluated by your veterinarian soon, but I don’t think it is an emergency unless he explodes in these pustules all over. Best of luck and I hope he improves soon. Thank you for using Pet Coach.
