Why is my cat still peeing after urinary blockage treatment?

Pet's info: Cat | American Shorthair | Male | neutered | 7 years and 1 month old | 15.6 lbs

My cat had a urinary art blockage and was catheterized and flushed out he has been urinating mostly when he sleeps in the bed on himself he has made it to the littler box a few time but mostly just urinated on himself in his sleep I was just wondering is this normal and will his bladder retain normal function in time this happened late Monday night and it's now thursday 1204am

This is still normal, it can remain this way until the condition is fully resolved and he will retain normal function of the bladder once he recovers. urinary blockage is usually caused by a bladder inflammation, most often due to stress, the stress factor needs to be removed and you need to continue the medical treatment as well as prescription urinary diet for a month.
