Have a 6mth old wired Haired Terrier dachshund mix. About 15 pounds. He ate 2, maybe 3 Greek yogurt covered raisins about 15-20 minutes ago, should I be concerned?

Hello, sorry to hear about Pepe. The exact mechanism of action by which the raisin causes kidney damage as the most serious complication to ingestion is unknown. Because of this, any ingestion or exposure to raisins and grapes is considered dangerous and should be evaluated by a veterinarian. The first signs of toxicity may include vomiting, decreased appetite, excessive drinking, decreased urinations, painful abdomen and diarrhea. Pepe should have his kidney values monitored for the next 72 hours to ensure he does not have a spike in his values. This can be done by taking him to your veterinarian and having them monitor his kidneys and hydration status. Hope this helps and best of luck.
