Hi there and thank you for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach to address your concern. Judging from the pictures you have provided, this area on the skin looks as though it could be from a bacterial skin infection. There are several products you can use but the one I would recommend that you can pick up at stores like PetCo would be Sentry Anti-Bacterial Wound Cream for Dogs. I would apply this until you are able to get to the veterinarian as Woofy may also need a course of an oral antibiotic. I would also recommend using a shampoo such as Douxo PS Chlorhexidine combination and Malacetic conditioning spray, which can be found online quite easily. The shampoo should be used twice weekly and the spray applied twice daily until the problem resolves. I hope this helps! Please let me know if you have any other questions or concerns and I would be more than happy to help you further.
