My 8 week old puppy has urinated 6-7 times in two hours. When I take her outside she also squats about 4 times, 3 of which nothing happens. She also licks her privates frequently. Is this common puppy behavior or does she have a UTI? If so do I need to take her in right away?

The signs you are describing may certainly be due to a UTI. When dogs have a UTI, they have a burning and urge to urinate even when their bladder is empty, so they continually try to urinate. Libby sounds pretty uncomfortable, so I would recommend having her seen right away so they can figure out what is going on and she can get some relief. Good luck! I hope that was helpful. Hi. It could be either of those things, or a combination of the two. The way to find out is to have a urine sample checked with your veterinarian. Your doctor can then rule in or out an infection, and get on the correct medications. Peeing twice on walk is a normal thing, as well as urinating again 2 hours later at that age. But a UTI is also possible
