Pet's info: Cat | Domestic Shorthair | Male | neutered | 9 years old | 6.5 lbs
I work at a shelter/sanctuary. One of our rescues, Tiger, was brought to me after living a solitary life in a home after losing his owner. He ate only Whiskas wet food back then. When he got to me, he was clinically depressed, and not eating. 2 yrs later, after several diets, including I/D, and Z/D, he's always had lose stool. Parasite free, only vomits if over eats. Never diagnosed, but I keep thinking IBS? Is that possible?

yes, it is a common problem in older cats. Often times you will need supplement vitamin B12 as they with diarrhea they need this added in to help. Diets are trial and error for each cat but usually the ones you have tried they do the best on. Your vet can do an ultrasound to measure the thickness of the intestines and either biopsy them for a diagnosis or do a trial run or a low dose cortisone to see if that helps.
