My weak puppy is throwing up, won't eat, but still playful. Why?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Large (61lb +) | Male | unneutered | 2 months and 9 days old | 7 lbs

He looks very weak, he can barely manage his own weight he throws up, he refuses to eat and only drinks water. But he still try's to act playful even though he's weak. He has been like this for about 3-4 days he has also been losing some weight. He is about 2 months and is a husky and Australian shepherd mix

Oh dear! I'm afraid this sounds very serious. I would strongly recommend taking Akamuro to the vet immediately, since this may be a life-threatening problem. There are many things that can cause lethargy, not eating, and vomiting in a puppy this age, so it's hard to say what might be wrong without being able to examine him and run some tests. He may have parvo, an intestinal obstruction, a systemic illness like liver or kidney disease, or may have ingested something toxic. Your veterinarian can do blood work and x-rays if needed to help diagnose the problem and get him started on appropriate treatment.
