We can see white flaky skin for a number of reasons. First, dogs can certainly just have dry skin that will respond to some of the supplements for skin (such as flax or fish oil). Second, she could have a skin infection that is resolving, but has left crusting and dead skin. She could also have a skin disease where her body is producing extra skin cells that would respond to a medical shampoo or even an internal hormonal imbalance that is causing the flaking skin. So, I would recommend having your veterinarian evaluate her to see what they think is going on, so they can recommend the best treatment for her. Good luck! I hope that was helpful.
