Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Medium (23 - 60lb) | Female | spayed | 2 years and 10 months old | 55 lbs
My dog, spayed female 3 year old, has thrown up two mornings in a row around 5:30-6 am. It is usually light brown with the tiniest amount of food. I've researched and a lot of what I find is about the morning bile sickness. She gets fed twice a day (morning/night) and the vomit doesn't look white and foamy to me so not sure if that morning bile sickness fits. She is acting fine, eating, drinking, playing. She throws up one in the morning and then it's over. Any help would be appreciated!

Poor Britta. This sounds a lot like acid reflux. Basically, some times when they go a long period without food (overnight), the acids in their stomach builds up and makes them nauseous the next morning. They usually vomit right when they wake up and before they eat breakfast. If this sounds like her, I would start to feed her dinner closer to bed time. Another option would be to feed 1/2 of her dinner when you get home and the other 1/2 right before bed. Then I would give her 20mg Pepcid by mouth right before you go to bed at night. If she continues to vomit despite these changes, then I would contact your vet as sometime more serious could be going on. Your vet will be able to check a fecal, blood work and even x-rays if needed. I hope this helps!
