Hello, my dog has bloated 4 times, he was on gastrointestinal dry kibble from royal canin, his mother died due to gastric torsion and he is 10 years old, I don't want to feed kibble anymore, what do you suggest for his diet?

The only reason Harry could have bloated so many times is if he is has yet to have a proper surgical procedure to tack his stomach to the abdominal wall . This by all accounts prevents bloating from recurring. I would not even wait until this happens again and have your vet do this procedure in order to prevent the next episode from occurring.. I have a dog that has bloated repeatedly too (not twisting of the stomach, just gas distention) and it turned out she had IBD. We had to verify this via endoscopy with biopsies. She is on a slew of medications now, but the one that actually seemed to get the repeatedly gas distension under control the most was gas-x. You'll have to speak with your primary vet about dosing this out appropriately or a small dog. Anyway, in terms of food, I would pick a dog food that is low in fat. There are plenty of wet diets that meet these requirements. Hope this makes sense.
