Why is my cat peeing on the bed with no UTI and clean litter?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Cat | Domestic Shorthair | Female | unspayed | 10 lbs

My cat keeps peeing on the bed. I've taken her to the vet and she doesn't have a uti nor bladder infection and I always keep the litter box clean

Lacy is beautiful! But I can certainly see why this behavior is driving you crazy. First, you have Lacy listed as unspayed. Unfortunately, intact cats can be difficult to prevent urinating in the house, so my first recommendation would be to have her spayed. I am attaching a handout below which discusses inappropriate urination in cats. It sounds like you have already looked for medical conditions and are doing everything right with her litter box, but that is also discussed in the handout. If this behavior continues after Lacy has been spayed, there are additional treatment options (including medications) discussed in the handout. http://www.veterinarypartner.com/Content.plx?P=A&S=0&C=0&A=633 Good luck! I hope that was helpful. Thanks for using PetCoach.
