What is this lump on my dog's skin? Should I be concerned?

This skin mass could be a harmless/benign tumor like a wart or a cyst but skin tumors like melanomas can also develop. The only way to tell for sure what it is to take a sample of cells through an aspirate or biopsy and look at it under a microscope. However if it isn't changing size, shape, color, etc it is less likely to be a harmful mass.

    This could be a benign wart or a tumor. Monitor it for change of shape, growth and change of color. If any of those changes occur, have a veterinarian examine it. If it does not seem to change and if your dog does not appear bothered by it (licks it or chews it) then there is time to have it examined when you bring your dog in for vaccinations.
