My dog has a new spot on her side. When should I worry and see a vet?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Large (61lb +) | Female | spayed | 4 years and 3 months old | 85 lbs

We have noticed that our dog daisy had a spot recently come up on her side. I have attached a picture. Is there anyway to tell if it is just a sore or something that really needs to be checked at a Vet office? Thanks!

Any lump which is raised, ulcerated/scabbing, has any discharge , rapid growing or painful should be checked by your vet. This appears to be the case and i recommend you get Daisy checked and the growth may need to undergo testing to determine the underlying nature
