Pet's info: Dog | Labrador Retriever | Female | unspayed | 2 months and 1 day old | 10 lbs
I have had my labrador puppy for 1 week now and she has suffered from loose stools since yesterday morning, there is no blood present and she has been fed on her dry puppy food only. Is there anything I should do to firm her stools?

Hi, thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! As young puppies are susceptible to many causes of diarrhea, I would highly recommend having Luna seen by your veterinarian as soon as possible to test for parvo and parasites. Whatever the testing results, this will allow treatment to be as pointed as possible, helping her get over the ailment as fast as possible. Other possibilities include Luna eating something she should not eat, receiving excessive treats (hard to avoid when trying to train a puppy, so maybe talk to your vet about alternative treat options), other infectious diseases, and congenital abnormalities to name a few. Parasites and infectious disease are by far the most common, so ruling them out is the first step. Hope this helps!
