Pet's info: Cat | American Shorthair | Male | neutered | 22 lbs
II have a cat that is overweight. He's 22 lbs. I currently feed him Hills science diet perfect weight food. He eats like he's starving and then almost immediately throws it up. I have no idea how he is staying so big as he doesn't keep the food down. Should I try another food? The vet said he did lose 3/4 of a pound on this food, but maybe that's just because he's not keeping it down.

Hi there, I would recommend trying the Royal Canin satiety diet, it's the lowest calorie and makes animals feel full. It's also very easy on the GI tract. I would also have your vet check him for diabetes, just in case. This is a quick blood test, but with his weight I would make sure there isn't an underlying cause. I hope that helps and thanks for using Pet Coach.
