My new puppy isn't eating. How do I get my picky puppy to eat?

Hello Doctor, I am a first time owner. I need your support and suggestion here to make my puppy girl feel healthy and better in size. Actually she is very active but for about past 2 days she is not eating properly. I am feeding her royal canin twice a day and mixture of yogurt, carrot, cabbage once a day. But she was looking like a big fan of royal canin for a week after I bought my girl. After a doctor advice I started feeding her veg and yogurt mixture with diluted chicken soup added.

Hi there and thank you for using PetCoach to address your concern. I would recommend offering a variety of food types and try dry or canned dog food to find which one Idalia likes best. You can also try and add in a probiotic such as Purina Fortiflora to her food, as this can enhance the flavor of the dog food. Yogurt does not provide any probiotic benefits for dogs as the bacteria is much different for dogs as it is in humans. Fortiflora can be found online quite easily. If you want to try home cooked food, you can visit the following website (www. balanceit.com) and formulate your own home cooked meal to see if she will eat this better. I hope this helps! Please let me know if you have any other questions or concerns and I would be more than happy to help you further!
