can i or should i give my 7wk old pit pup a dewormer? i noticed worms in her bms. should i wait until i get her shots next week or is ot ok to give a dewormer now. Pet's info: Dog | Pit Bull Terrier | Female | unspayed | 1 month and 23 days old

If you're sure of what worms are present, you can go ahead and give a dewormer now, and let your vet know. Your vet may also recommend deworming again in a few weeks, especially if there was a large parasite load. If you're unsure of the type of worms, it would be best to bring in a sample of Lola's stool to your vet to have it examined so that the correct medication can be given to treat it. If the exam is in the next day or so, you can bring in the fecal sample with you to have it tested at your appointment.
