Silly Gus!! I bet they enjoyed that chocolate pie! The best thing you could do is to take the dogs to a vet clinic where they can give some medication to induce vomiting. This will enable you to not only determine who ate the pie, but also will rid their system of the majority of what they ingested which can be very important for treatment and management. Depending on physical exam and the results of induction of vomiting, your Vet may recommend one or both dogs be admitted for IV fluids and monitoring. The toxic component in chocolate products is a caffeine derivative, and it can have varying effects from tummy upset, to hyperactivity to seizures and sometimes even death. I hope Gus comes through this ok and learns not to steal any more pie!
