so i took my 4 month old rat terrier to the vet today because he has been vomiting for the past two days and the vet said that he has worms and gave me some antibiotics to stop the vomiting and some worm medicine to get rid of the worms. however my dog still refuses to eat and is vomiting up a white foamy substance. what do i do because the vet clinic is closed???

Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! I would of course follow your veterinarian's recommendations as they were able to examine Chase. However, I would be concerned that other things could also be going on. The clinical signs you describe are concerning when they occur in a puppy as they can be seen with serious gastrointestinal infections such as Parvovirus. Other possibilities include gastrointestinal obstruction and dietary indiscretion, among other possibilities. The sooner these conditions are treated the better the outcome tends to be. For this reason, I recommend that you have Chase reevaluated by a veterinarian to check for these possibilities and to start therapy based on findings. At the very least they can address dehydration if present and start him on anti-nausea medications. Good luck! Keeping my fingers crossed for your boy!
