How to stop my dog's bad gas and persistent stinky body odor?

Question

My dog is a male catahuola, i adopted him from the shelter back in august and since getting him, he has had really bad gas and has this natural stinky Oder to him. I give him a bath every two weeks. What should I do to help this? Pet's info: Dog | Catahoula Leopard Dog | Male | neutered | 45 lbs

Hi there and thank you for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach to address your concern. I would recommend switching to a different diet to see if this helps reduce the flatulence. Many times, excessive gas, diarrhea, vomiting or other GI symptoms can be traced back to the diet and bacterial content in the intestines. I would also consider adding in a probiotic such as Purina Fortiflora, which can be found online quite easily. Diets I recommend for most pets include Science Diet, Royal Canin, Natural Balance, and Purina One. I hope this helps!
