Is my cat's spay incision healing normally after a pulled stitch?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Cat | Domestic Shorthair | Female | spayed | 8 months and 5 days old | 7.1 lbs

Is my kittys spay incision healing normally? Had to get her an e-collar and a retouch of glue from her pulling a stitch, but I just wanna make sure! She is acting normal, and eating great!

The incision has a bit of glue on it and some debris but otherwise looks normal. Also another key to know if it is infected is if there moist discharge coming from the incision, which I don’t see here. Continue to monitor the incision daily and definitely keep the e-collar on. Best wishes and take care of Ratatouille!

Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! It really does not. I would continue monitoring her incision but so far it appears to be healing well. Make sure to use an e-collar (cone) when she is unsupervised to avoid any possible self-trauma from her licking/chewing at it. Good luck and have a good night!
