I noticed this raised red bump/lump on my dogs lower stomach. It oozes puss when gently squeezed. Pet's info: Dog | Bulldog | Male | neutered | 7 months old | 40 lbs

Was there supposed to be a picture attached to this? Puppies tend to get skin infections pretty commonly. We even refer to it as “puppy pyoderma”. If it just looks like a pimple then that is likely what it is. If it is much larger or if there are several on the body then he should be evaluated by a veterinarian to determine if he needs antibiotics. Otherwise bathing in an antimicrobial shampoo such as chlorhexidine or salicylic acid can be helpful. These can be found in the dandruff section of any human shampoo aisle.
