My dog is throwing up, warm, not eating. Should I take him to vet?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | American Cocker Spaniel | Male | neutered | 1 year and 11 months old | 25 lbs

My 2 year old lively cocker spaniel has thrown up 3 times today and feels warm to the touch, he doesn’t want food and only wants water right after throwing up. He Seems very out of it and almost sad. I sm really worried. Should I get him to the vet tonight?

It is never wrong to seek care if you are worried. At his age I worry about the possibility of an intestinal obstruction. They will probably recommend an x-ray. If it looks ok they can at least give him an injection to help with the nausea and make him feel better. Best of luck and I hope he improves soon! Thank you for using Pet Coach.
