Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! Drooling and spitting up can be signs of nausea. This is particularly important as it seems like there are times when Beltre does not eat well which can happen secondary to nausea. This can happen from gastrointestinal causes such as pancreatitis, dietary indiscretion, gastroenteritis, among other possibiities. For this reason, I recommend that you have him evaluated by your veterinarian for further assessment and treatment. Likely diagnostics include abdominal ultrasound and bloodwork. At the very least, your veterinarian can address any possible dehydration and start medications as needed to make him feel better. Good luck!
