My dog has bumps on his lip. Is it an immune skin rash or allergy?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Medium (23 - 60lb) | Male | neutered | 50 lbs

Can the immune disease for skin rash appear on the bottom lip? There is still hair. I wondered yesterday if he burned it ok something, but today it has bumps. He does not seemed bothered by it, no trying to lick or scratch it. He's eating drinking and going to the bathroom normally.. Thanks for your help

A lot of immune medicated diseases affecting the skin can stray around the face and mouth. Acne or an allergy can also have similar appearing lesions around the muzzle. It is good that it does not bother him. The best thing to do it clean the area with soap and water in a cloth. Change to a stainless steel water and food bowl. Have your vet check the area to see if any oral medication is need as a topical can be licked easily
