My dog is itching, has raw skin and bald spots. What should I do?

My dog who Is a pit bull bulldog mix has been itching all over ,it stated in 1 or 2 spots but is now spreading , he scratched until raw and now has multiple bold spots and open spots all on his back what should I give him. Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Medium (23 - 60lb) | Male | unneutered | 3 years and 3 months old | 55 lbs

Oh goodness! That looks very uncomfortable. I am suspicious that he likely has a skin infection, or pyoderma. I would highly encourage you to have him evaluated by your veterinarian as soon as possible. They may also want to do a skin scrape looking for mites. He will probably need antibiotics and possibly some medication to help control the itch. In the meantime an oatmeal based shampoo may bring some temporary relief.
