My cat's been in heat for weeks with breaks. Is this normal?

My female cat is a year and a half and she's been in heat for 2 and a half weeks with a 2 day break in the middle. Pet's info: Cat | Domestic Mediumhair | Female | unspayed

This is suspicious for a possible ovarian cyst that could be continuing to produce hormones. If this does t resolve on its own in a few days then I would recommend that she be evaluated by a veterinarian. If you don’t plan to breed her then a spay would likely solve the problem.
