Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Male | neutered | 3 years and 6 months old | 10 lbs
My male 3 yr old cat can't seem to keep food down or pass it. no problems urinating. We took him to the vet and he prescribed anti anxiety meds along with antibiotics. That was 5 days ago, his appetite and mood improved and seemed to be doing better but this morning he threw up quite a bit of food and right after he started throwing up bile. I can't afford a vet again i'm a college student so i need to know if i should just keep giving him his meds because it has only been 5 days or take him in.

I think that after 5 days of giving medication you should have started to see some improvement. Since Kitty is not improving he needs to be rechecked by your veterinarian. They will likely recommend doing some X-rays and possibly an ultrasound of the abdomen. Or, depending on the findings, they may recommend an exploratory surgery. I hope this helps. Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach. Best of luck.
