My dogs ate mini chocolate donuts. What are chocolate toxicity signs?

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Small (up to 22lb) | Male | neutered | 25 lbs

my 3 dogs got into about 2 dozen mini donuts. Their ages are 1,2 and 3. The 1 year old dog is 50 pounds, 2 year old dog is 20 pounds and the 3 year old dog is about 25 pounds. Are their any chocolate "Overdose" signs I should keep an look for? Thank you

There likely is not enough chocolate to pose a serious risk of toxicity. You may see some gastrointestinal upset (vomiting, diarrhea, loss of appetite) in one or all of them depending on the amounts ingested. This can be managed at home with a 24 hour fast followed by a bland diet until symptoms resolve. Symptoms of chocolate (or more specifically theobromine) toxicity include hyperactivity, tremors/seizure, rapid heart rate, high blood pressure or arrhythmias. Seek veterinary attention if the GI upset does not resolve or if any of the other symptoms develop.
