My puppy keeps biting shoes and won't use his chew toys. Help!

Question

Ashton, the puppy, is constantly attacking my shoes whether they are on my feet, I’m walking or sitting, and is refusing other biting/chew toys. I’m wondering how to stop this unwanted behavior. Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Medium (23 - 60lb) | Male | neutered | 5 months and 19 days old | 35 lbs

This should improve with age but for now I would have a water bottle and spray her and tell her “no” when she does it. Also, give her a toy at that time to play with so she will begin to understand that she should be playing with her toys instead. If she doesn’t like her toys, maybe try a favorite treat and give her that when she stops. If the water bottle doesn’t work you can try to fill a bottle with some rocks and shake it loudly when she does it and tell her no. Finally option would be to enroll her on some puppy classes.
