My new kitten's poop is soft and orange. When should I worry?

Pet's info: Cat | American Shorthair | Female | unspayed | 2 months old | 1lb

Hi there! My vet's office is closed today, and I couldn't find a definitive answer online. Yesterday, I adopted a stray kitten (maybe 8 weeks old) and brought her home. She's eating, drinking, sleeping, and "restrooming" well, and she's in a wonderful disposition. However, her stool is slightly soft (not diarrhea, still solid) and a little orange. No blood, no visible parasites, no apparent pain/difficulty when I've observed her defecating. Is this ER "worthy"? What do you recommend? Thanks!

I would recommend keeping an eye on her stools and appetite for now, it may be the food change, soft stools is quite common in kittens in general and they usually grow out of it. If it gets worse or if her appetite is affected then take her to the ER or to your vet.
